How the Six Positions Work

Self, Other, Connection

The first three are the spread’s engine: your energy, theirs, and the thing that exists between you, which is not simply the sum of the two. A warm Self and a warm Other with a cold Connection is a real and common reading — two people doing well separately and badly together.

The Connection rune is the one to sit with

Relationships have a character of their own: a pattern that neither person would choose alone and both keep feeding. That is what the third stone names, and it is usually the piece people have never put words to.

Strengths before Challenges

Reversed runes
